Kitchen and Bath Industry Show

I love discovering new and innovative products and every year, attend trade shows and industry functions showcasing the latest and greatest! This year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Trade Show (KBIS) along with the International Builders Show (IBS) did not disappoint – so much to see and do in just 3 days.

Trending this year, manufacturers introduced warm tones in faucets and finishes; technology and color in appliances; ease of use and storage for cabinets; hardware; whites and softer colors in fixtures; understated bling in the bath and lighting, and statement black everywhere! Here are some of my favorite picks- Let me know if you agree or have a favorite.

YES THESE ARE CUSTOM REFER DOORS !

Appliances have come a long way with the newest models offering enhanced storage, technological improvements via apps and custom door panels as seen on these refrigerators. Column refrigerators, freezers and wine storage units are all the rage as is the introduction of bold colors- blue and green are the most requested colors!

ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES!

Cabinet storage is an intergral component in Kitchen design and many manufacturers offer a variety of accessories to increase functionality and ease of use. Spice, utensil and blind corner pullouts; Recycling Centers and drawer organizers are just a few of the options available. Here, Rev-A-Shelf showcases the workings of a blind corner cabinet and sink cabinet pullouts in a cool acrylic display case.

FAUCETS GALORE!

I am so inspired by the infusion of color in Kitchen and Bath products. These Kitchen faucets offered by Grohe are available in so many bright colors, but are still available in matte black, stainless steel and brushed nickel options. Faucets come in a number of styles, colors and spray options while touch control features are offered by most manufacturers and make life so much easier, especially if you’re a messy cook like me!

LINEAR DRAINS

Linear floor drains have been in demand for years now with their streamlined designs for a safe & stylish shower. The most recent advancement is the linear wall drain. Love the fact that you don’t see the actual drain as the tile “bar” hides it. This drain, offered by Drains Unlimited isn’t the only manufacturer offering this type of product, but the company is definitely tapping into the wellness trend with a drain that makes it possible to create a spa-inspired shower.

I JUST LOVE A POP OF COLOR!

Freestanding tubs are still very much in demand and available in a variety of shapes, sizes, materials and colors. Color is found in abundance at this year’s show in a variety of products and as shown here, these tubs from Victoria and Albert make stunning centerpieces in any bathroom. From contemporary to serene or whimsical design schemes, there’s something for everyone!
