SPRING 2020

Spring breathes new life into our homes!

Spring is officially here and due to a rainy March and now “Sheltering in Place”, I’m looking forward to getting back out there & helping my clients move forward with their projects. Been going stir crazy, but this was a good time to purge files, get more organized and look at all that info I took away from this Winter’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show!

In this issue, I’d like to concentrate on Bathroom remodeling and Design. There is so much new product available which makes it an exciting time to be remodeling your Powder and Bathrooms!

If you’ve been holding off updating or remodeling your bathroom, now’s a good time to get the process going. I’m sure once this craziness is over, contractors are going to be busy with projects that have been put on hold and this gives you time to get your plans, product selections and ordering done so that when they are available, you’re ready to move forward without delay!

New Products- Form and Function!

BIDETS

I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine going to the store for TP and not finding any. Oh wait! Been there, done that but if you have the ability to install a washlet seat, no problem! They are commonly found in Japan and many European countries and finally catching on here in the states. Just need to add an electrical outlet!

Many manufacturers provide these including Toto, who really owns the market and Kohler to name a few, but check out the link for American Standard’s version of the Spalet Bidet seat.

SINKS

This year’s show offered a variety of new, innovative products and a few that caught my and many collegues’ eyes were glass sinks offered by Native Trails.

The Lido and Amalfi (scalloped exterior detailing) vessel sinks shown are exquisitely handcrafted from the artisans of Murano. These make the perfect statement in a Powder Room- they define a room and are a work of art or as I like to say, the Jewelry in the Room!

FAUCETS

Love, Love, Love this idea! The Kintsu faucet series offered through Brizo & coming this fall (sorry, you’ll have to wait but worth it), provides 5 handle inset options including Mother or Pearl, Concrete, Teak and an All-Metal lever with no insert. The series was inspired by the use of natural materials and the organic simplicity of Scandanavian and Japanese ideologies.

The series will also be offering complete tub and shower fittings including H 2 Okinetic ® Showerheads, trims, Multi-Function Slide Bar & Handshowers.

Things to do in the O.C- Spring 2020

I’m sure you’re going stir-crazy at this point with California’s recently imposed home confinement & looks like it’s going to last for a while. Hopefully you can get out for a walk along the beach or to one of these nature trails. This photo was taken last year at El Moro Loop!
